Profile

Received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Amravati University, India in 1990 and Masters in Engineering degree from MNREC (NIT) Allahabad, India in 1996. He received Ph.D. in Electronics Technology from Guru Nanak Dev Univ., Amritsar, India in year 2000. Along with this he also did DBM and MMS from North Maharashtra University in 1993 and 1994 respectively.

He is having enriched teaching experience of 30 years and 5 years in industry. He has published 185 research papers in various international and national referred journals and conferences. He has filed 7 patents, five copy rights and published two books. He is recognized Ph.D. guide from University of Pune. Under his able guidance 14 students completed Ph.D. in engineering field. His area of Interest includes Wireless Communication, Wireless Sensor Network, Nonconventional energy and Signal processing.

He has participated in many Seminars and Conferences and delivered keynote address and chaired sessions. He is reviewed research manuscripts for refereed international journals.

He is holding the post of Principal at AIT since Feb 2015. Under his tenure AIT is reaccredited 3rd time NBA and NAAC with ‘A’ Grade, received best professional college award from Univ of Pune in 2017. He was instrumental in starting PG course in Computer Engineering and increase in intake of UG Computer and E&TC and starting new UG program Automation and Robotics.

He is Sr Member, IEEE, fellow of Institution of Engineers, IETE and life member of ISTE and Instrument Society of India.

1. Received the "Sir Thomas Ward Memorial Medal" from the Institution of Engg., Calcutta, for the best paper in E&T Journal div. for the year 1999-2000.
2. Received "Education Leadership Award" by Dewang Mehta National Education Award on 28 Nov 2018.
3. Received Award "50 Most Influential Principals of India" at 9th World Education Congress on 26 Aug 2021.
4. Received "Outstanding Leader in Higher Education" at 4th Elets Education Innovation Summit, Pune 12 Apr 2024.
5. Received CMI (Chartered Management Institute) Level 5 Certificate in Management & Leadership from UK.

Message

AIT was founded in 1994 and, in just 31 years, has established itself as a prestigious engineering institution under Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly the University of Pune), despite being relatively younger than long-standing institutes like COEP. Our students have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance and secured excellent placements. All AIT departments have received reaccreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for three years, made possible through the dedicated efforts and coordination of our staff, management, administration, students, and their parents. AIT continues to achieve top rankings in NIRF, Outlook, Data Quest, THE WEEK, and similar evaluations. Additionally, AIT has been granted autonomous status by the UGC and the university.

The excellent facilities at our college are continuously being upgraded to keep pace with evolving technology. Our students exhibit great curiosity and actively engage with the latest equipment, software, and resources, often going beyond the syllabus requirements. They are provided with state-of-the-art infrastructure and various opportunities for holistic development. Many of our students have achieved remarkable success in sports, paper presentations, hackathons, essay and debate competitions at national and international levels, as well as in developing socially beneficial software. Recently, we have fostered a culture of entrepreneurship at AIT, taking a small yet significant step toward achieving the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

I am confident that our students will continue their stellar performance throughout their academic journey and future careers. I am also certain that they will strive for excellence in postgraduate and research studies, leveraging advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive innovation and achieve remarkable professional milestones.
